Governor Emmanuel Flags off Christmas Village for 2022

Governor Udom Emmanuel has officially flagged off activities of the 2022 Ibom Christmas Village

The governor who was represented by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Pastor Umo Eno said the festive period is an opportunity to relax, recharge and refresh adding that the Christmas village is packaged to provide maximum enjoyment in a convivial atmosphere as well as generate income for booth owners and others.

Governor Emmanuel said the Christmas Village is one of the activities put together to help the people relax and connect with the spirit of the yuletide season adding that the Christmas Carol night will take place on December 16.

He commended the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon Orman Esin and his team for the organization stressing that the next administration will further on the strides.

The governor who took time to visit and patronize different booths at the Village assured everyone that better days lie ahead and urged them to get their PVCs and vote for PDP at all levels in the 2023 general elections.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon Orman Esin noted that the 2022 Christmas village is fourth in the series, and lauded the governor for providing such a huge platform for people to unwind and also make good money.

He urged Akwa Ibomites and those from neighbouring states to take time out to come and savour the wonderful ambience and its facilities.

He stated that the Village will be open till January 2nd, 2023.
