Eket PDP women holds a one day PVC collection sensitization exercise
The leadership of PDP women in Eket Local Government Area led by Hon. Emem Francis, had on today Saturday 10th September, 2022, held a one day PVC collection sensitization exercise across the local government area.
The exercise which commenced by 8:00am saturday morning, witnessed a massive turnout of PDP women who toured round Eket metropolis, mobilising all eligible voters who registered between July and December, 2021 and transfer of voters card from January, 2022, charging them on the need for prompt collection of voters card, as permanent voters card remained an important tool in the election of representatives
Interacting with newsmen, Lady Emem Francis, PDP Chapter woman leader, Eket LGA, urged all residents who registered between this period to go and collect their Permanent Voters Card at Eket INEC office behind Eket Sports Stadium, inorder to avoid voters apathy as the 2023 elections draws closer.
Hon Emem Francis in her submission noted that the sensitization exercise was not politically motivated or targeted only for PDP members but aimed at increasing the voting strength and also usher in good governance which will in turn pave way for more developments across the council area.
The sensitisation team visited Urua Nka, Urua Ikot Odiong and other notable locations across the LGA.
The team had in attendance, Rt Hon Comfort Okon Emmauel, Vice Chairman, Eket LGA, Hon. Barrister Gladys Ekaette, Hon Enobong Akpan, Hon Comfort Nsimah, Mrs Florence Assamudo , Udeme Jack, Mrs Stella Etukakpan, Lady Mercy Ekpe Nyoho, Lady Imaobong Benjamin, Lady Charity Thompson, PDP ward women leaders, PDP ward Vice Chairmen, PDP ward secretaries and other notable PDP women across the area.
